Close Call
So just how close did we come to the edge? What were children especially teenage years we have a tendency to flirt with danger. Developmental experts on the brain will tell you it’s the lack of the development of our “Consequence Center” in our brains. I don’t know what you call it when we vote for the wrong people and come dangerously close to destroying our great Republic. I think for many it’s called being a Democrat or suffering from TDS, Trump derangement syndrome. The last 4 years should have scared the hell out of everyone.
We’ve been down this road before. The ’70s were filled with great music, bell bottoms, Disco, weird Sci-Fi movies, poor acting, spaghetti Westerns, in the end of the muscle cars, dragging main Street, and even long hair. But the ’70s saw something even far more worse. Jimmy Carter and his administration had the United States on its back and floundering for air. The socialist, extreme liberal politics cram down throat of America during that administration had the United States and very serious condition, but nothing like 4 years of destruction, orchestrated dismantlement of America, by the Biden three ring clown circus.
Following Jimmy Carter, the administration of Ronald Reagan certainly prove to be mostly the antithesis of the measures introduced by Carter, but then they went far too far and entrenched more of the deep state, and the industrial military complex. Reagan repaid his supporters in the California defense industry many times over. They went too far to the right and began to introduce policies that were restrictive of the American free liberties, stifled small business Enterprise in favor of large corporations and the greed machine, an introduced far too many regulations of their own. The question is will this administration go too far as well. Will they rally behind common sense, fairness for all, and entrepreneurial capitalism, or will they allow the big corporate machine, and a different version of the deep state take over and go too far. If they do we’ll suffer the same backlash and eight 12 or 16 years from now, the pendulum will swing back again and a socialist will be in the White House once more with a socialist house and Senate.
This is a cautionary tale. This is a warning. We must learn from history. Hopefully the brilliant cabinet filling this Trump administration must make their changes as permanent as government can be to preserve the Trump doctrine and principles without allowing extremist to take it over the edge, that is, the other edge.
